getting 1080p on my viewsonic 22" HD VX2245WM?

hey ppl i have a viewsonic 22" LCD VX2245WM. i have connected it to my XFX 8600GT (512 MB ddr2) postal card through a DVI cable...my question is wheni go to the nvidia control panel it shows me the option to change it to 1080p mode but once i reversal it and close it and then open it again it tells me that its still on non-HD format. also can anyone explain how the nvidia purevideo works?? thanx well my resolve is 1680x1050...i guess thats no 1080p....hmmm do no HD for me??

I think the problem is that you dont have a HD tape card but the driver has a HD option setting so it will not switch to HD mode. Check your graphic card manual or box to see if it supports HD.

If you have the settings set to HD glass...who cares what is says...that is HD. What exactly are your video settings? The last number must be x1080 or higher.

Well i dont see whats up since they both stand by HD but im not sure the card is 1080p may be 720i remote control viewsonic lcd tv n2011
